Seronga Craft Shop

**We sell handmade crafts designed and made by people of the Okavango Delta in the eastern panhandle of Botswana. These crafts include carvings, beadwork from plant seeds, basketry, painting, prints of elephants, and elephant patterns.** In the Okavango Delta, there are more elephants than people. And so the people of the Delta must share space and other resources with thousands of these beautiful, yet destructive animals. This poses a host of challenges, and so the objective of the business is to find benefits from living with elephants. We turn the damages caused by elephants in our area into a way to improve our lifestyles. For instance, we use roots from trees that have been taken down by elephants to make natural inks for dying our basketry and make carvings out of dried logs that have been knocked down. The Seronga craft shop is a link and liaison between different artisans in the Eastern Panhandle of Botswana and our customers across the world.
